I spent 5 glorious weeks in Nepal in November 2001. It was on the bus ride between Sonwadi & Pokhara that I saw my first snow covered mountains - the Annapurna Himals. What a sight and how glorious they were. I trekked in the Annapurna Sanctuary going up to the Tibetan plateau at Muktinath and the Annapurna Base camp, where in a valley, you are surrounded with towering snow covered peaks. It was like standing on top of the world.
Pokhara was the perfect place to relax after the trek. And going to Kathmandu felt like entering the real world again. Like India, I am counting the days until I can return for another dose... with my camera.
